Healthy Side: Easy Tropical Fruit Salad – Bahama Breeze Inspired

Bahama Breeze Healthy Side Dish Tropical Fruit Salad with fresh pineapple, strawberries, and red seedless grapes

Occasionally, Bahama Breeze will send us a $10 off coupon and we will indulge in a meal out. My favorite part about Bahama Breeze is that they offer healthy side options, my favorite being the fresh fruit salad served with Häagen-Dazs© mango sorbet. When ordering a burger or sandwich, the fruit salad is a great alternative to french fries (Read: add “healthy” and save calories when eating a high calorie, fattening meal). Plus, this healthy side is so sweet and delicious that is also serves as dessert!

Knowing that fresh pineapple and strawberries were on sale this week, I thought I’d make my own healthy side dish. So simple to make, my tropical fruit salad tastes just as good as the restaurant version, even without the mango sorbet. No need to add any additional sugar or sweetness. I eat it for breakfast and as a healthy side with my lunch. I have all the ingredients pre-cut and stored in my anchor Bake N Store set, so it is a cinch to put together.  If desired, the fruit salad can be topped with a spoonful of greek yogurt for added creaminess.
